also after i installed hostapd, i still couldn't find those files mentioned in 0x4.
/etc/default/hostapd
/etc/network/if-pre-up.d/hostapd
/etc/init.d/hostapd

The interface is your wifi interface, seeing from ifconfig

I couldn't remember but if you install it manually then they do not exist.
